Light Wall ("the App") is a lock‑screen app related to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter‑day Saints, developed by Kenneth App ("we", "us"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App does and does not handle. By installing or using the App, you agree to this policy.

The App is not an official product of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter‑day Saints and is not endorsed by or affiliated with the Church.

1. Information We Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information.

The App has no user accounts, no login, and no registration. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise or approximate location, or any personally identifiable information.

All of your in‑app settings — such as language, clock style, unlock method, wallpaper choice, pinned/excluded temples, scripture preferences, and the PIN for the optional unlock screen — are stored only on your device and are never uploaded to us or any third party. Uninstalling the App permanently removes this data from your device.

The optional unlock PIN is stored locally on your device solely to operate the lock screen. It is not transmitted anywhere and is not recoverable by us.

2. Internet Access and Third‑Party Services
The App functions primarily offline. It connects to the internet only to load public content for display:

When the App requests content from these services, your device's IP address is necessarily visible to the receiving server, as is the case with any internet request. This is a standard technical characteristic of internet communication; we do not collect, log, or store your IP address ourselves. We send no personal data to these services — requests contain only what is needed to fetch public content (for example, a temple name or news‑feed URL). The App does not request location permission and does not send your location to the weather service.

3. Permissions and Why They Are Used
The App requests only the permissions needed for its lock‑screen features. None are used to collect personal data.

Internet (INTERNET): Load temple photos, church news, scriptures, and weather.
Foreground service / keep awake (FOREGROUND_SERVICE, FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE, WAKE_LOCK, RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED): Keep the lock screen available and restore it after the device restarts.
Display over other apps / show on lock screen (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW, DISABLE_KEYGUARD, USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT, POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Show the lock screen when the display turns on.
Camera (CAMERA): Used only for the in‑app QR‑code scanner, and only when you actively open it. No photos or video are taken, stored, or transmitted.
Flashlight (FLASHLIGHT): Operate the flashlight quick‑action button.
Vibration (VIBRATE): Provide optional haptic feedback.
Photos / media (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES, READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): Used only if you choose your own image as the wallpaper. The selected image is used locally and is never uploaded.
4. Advertising and Analytics
The App contains no advertising, no analytics, and no third‑party tracking SDKs. We do not build user profiles and do not use your data for advertising.

The App may include the Advertising ID permission (cohttp://m.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID) as a standard component of Google Play services bundled with the app. The App does not access, use, or share the advertising identifier, and does not use it for advertising, measurement, or tracking.

5. Data Sharing and Sale
We do not sell, rent, or share any personal information, because we do not collect any. No data is shared with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

6. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the App collects no personal information from anyone, no special data‑deletion process is required; uninstalling the App removes all locally stored settings.

7. Data Retention and Deletion
All App data is stored locally on your device. We hold no server‑side data about you. You can delete all App data at any time by clearing the App's storage in your device settings or by uninstalling the App.

8. Security
Because the App stores data only on your device and transmits no personal information, the primary protection of your data is your device's own security. Network requests to third‑party services use encrypted HTTPS connections.

9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, within the App. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
